Have you ever wanted something so bad, but known that it was out of your reach? Wanted to be a part of something that was so beyond your skill level that it broke your heart to think about? And you can't even be mad about it, because the people running it aren't snobby or elitist or unfair, they're supportive? So you know the fault's all yours, that you could do better. That you may have to spend months or years improving a skill that you take so much pride in, but it just isn't enough.

I'm talking about Yerf. I've known about it since I first began to drift from the Anime-fandom circle into the lonely world of Furry fandom (Why do I say lonely? Because I've been a fur for almost four years, and I know a total of one other anthro artist. I'm a teenager, I can't go to cons, and my art is not the kind to get noticed). I was too shy to try for it then. Last year I made up my mind to spply, only to find that the site was down. Crestfallen, I checked in regularly, eagerly awaiting its revival. And now that it's back, in part, I realize that I don't have a chance in hell of getting in.
